Lost Angel Goddess

In the nighttime foggy mist,
she kneels to the damp ground,
under the glow of the full midnight moon.

Her red glowing eyes lower,
as she bows down in deep thought,
speaking to the masters who went
before her.

In the cool air of the evening,
she spread her long white angel wings
around her pale silhouette,
With her blonde mane whipping slowly in the icy breeze.
The angel goddess shivered, wishing for a warmth
that disappeared so many years ago.

A free soul she was,
flying high above the sparkling stars
into the deep dark skies with
white wings of freedom.

A guardian of the universe,
Goddess of love,
answering to the powers that be.

And now, she kneels to the damp ground,
a prisoner held captive,
grounded, her wings of freedom damaged;
After answering to whom she believed,
was a more glorious king,
And denying an approved affection.

Her red glowing eyes lower,
as she bows down in deep thought,
speaking to the masters who went
before her.

An aching cry bellowed into the lonely night,
her breath, leaving a shimmering path
as a wishful tear slid down her soft cheek.

Freedom she craved,
Love she needed,
although deprivation had become her,
because she denied her king.

A lost soul with wounded wings,
in search of love,
from the masters who went before her.

Here, she would wait,
kneeling in the damp cold ground
speaking to her masters,
and asking for hope to be restored.

Her faith, would damage her,
no more.
