JOURNEY ON
***************************

…step…step….step,
into the cool air that surrounds me above the dim stars…
Breathe…
Breathe into the silent air above the dark sky at midnight…

Stare…blink….stand…
Still.
So still.
Gather my scattered thoughts…
Invisible thoughts that come alive in my so-active non-silent mind.

Look up , so high….into the never-ending sky…
wishing for…
Hope…

Breathe…
Breathing alone,
watching my breath form life in the cool evening air
as a dark haunting fog rolls in under the moon…
It surrounds my still silhouette…
questioning my presence.

Step…pause….step…
Praying to the wishful stars above,
alone in this thoughtful lonely but comforting night
in my so active pondering mind,

Looking beyond this mysterious life…
Searching for continuous answers
that are so hard to find.

Step…
Step..
Breathe…

Dream….
Dreams dancing out of my head,
to a tune, that only my lips seem to know
from another time.
Thy lyrics are sacred…
To me, they are blind.

Step…Step…
Pause….pray.
Seek….

Seeking for life beyond,
the answers I want to know.
Need to know….
Kneel….pause….
In watchful thought.

Searching beyond a mystical mystery
that aches in my beating heart…

Breathe…
Just breathe.

Step….step….

Into an invisible world.
But I am comforted….
as I step into the shadows under the moonlight.

For I do not need a spotlight.

All I need is faith…
Answers
and for the clouds to lift
from this midnight dream…

Step…
step…

Breathe….

….All I need is to live…
and to gather the answers
that my soul so longingly aches for…

Step…
step…
Pause…

Kneel.

….dancing heartbeat.

Breathe.

….Step out of the shadows of the moonlight
and shine…under the stars….
…and tears fall…
in answer to a call …
beyond this time…..
….step…step…
Pause….

Breathe…
Breath comes alive from this searching soul…

….step…
step back under the moonlight,
stare above to the dim stars that sing to my heart…

I turn back behind the rolling fog…

And Journey On….

Her epic tale, “Only If,” won the “Reader’s Favorite Award” and a 5 star review…and her collection, “Twisted Paths Poetry,” received a 5 star review from Realistic Poetry International. She has been writing ever since she was a child. Some of her inspirations include Edgar Allen Poe, Robert Frost, Stephen King, Emily Dickinson, Christopher Pike and Shel Silverstein. Ariana writes a variety of genres: inspirational, humorous and horror – although writing horror is one of her favorites…. She was 12 years old when she read Poe for the very first time – which inspired her epic poetry tale, “Only If.“ During other parts of her free time, she enjoys taking photos and creating art. Her “day-jobs” include working as a church administrative aide and reporting for a local newspaper.
