Poetry & Artwork: Bidding Adieu at Sunset

I’ve been continuing to learn how to use alcohol markers and draw with them. I really love how bright and brilliant the colors are. For my next collection of poems, I plan on putting both artwork and poetry into it and I hope to have it published in color. I needed to get back to art, as it is another one of my passions, and lately, it calms me – doing all of the coloring. Since the pandemic, I’ve stayed at home a lot aside from going into the office a couple times a week, visiting the chiropractor or picking up curbside groceries. Art and writing has kept me sane…

Here is a landscape I completed using alcohol markers. I added a short poem to go with it.

During the last moments of sunset,
the creatures of nature settle in, creating a wide blanket of silence as they pull up their seats for the daily majestic sky show.
