The New Normal (COVID19) 4 weeks gone by… Changes, protests & political differences

It has been four weeks of Sheltering in Place… The second extension is set to expire on April 30. In the news, we have seen a retaliation of protesters who are wanting relief from “Stay at Home Shelter” orders across many states. Some of them being in my home state of Illinois in Springfield. The New Normal with COVID19: Three Weeks Shelter in Place

It started with Lysol, hand sanitizer and hand soap. Then people began hoarding toilet paper…. Now, people are purchasing hair color and hair clippers off the shelves. The New Normal With Covid19: 2 weeks Shelter in Place

Today marked two weeks we’ve had “Shelter in Place.” We’ve been social distancing since March 16 ( I think?)… Our Shelter in Place has been extended until April 30 and the CDC is suggesting that we wear masks in public places now. Illinois has surpassed 10,000 positive cases and has 243 deaths. Our county (DOUGLAS)Continue reading “The New Normal With Covid19: 2 weeks Shelter in Place”

The New Normal with COVID 19: One week Shelter in Place in Photos: Arthur, IL

On a Friday and Saturday, I walked around our tourist town to take some photos to show how empty it was after one week of “Shelter in Place.” Normally on a Friday night, our 133 highway is busy with families heading to dinner, an event at the school, or just out and about. Even thoughContinue reading “The New Normal with COVID 19: One week Shelter in Place in Photos: Arthur, IL”

Blog Series: The New Normal With Covid19: Day 5: changes

This morning didn’t start out too bad. After saying goodbye to my boyfriend after he went to work, feeding my cats and eating a bit of breakfast, I got around and went for a walk.
