Poetry: Between the Veil

Between the Veil
There’s a veil between two well-known worlds…
The past…
A whirlwind of roller-coaster memories that still travel forwards
through the archival mind

“It’s time…. ,” the wind whispers….

And the present…
While several years have passed…
Yet, the heart still sometimes finds itself lingering in the middle of that veil.

It’s that time of season…where tears once overflowed
That fell upon a pillow of sleepless nights….
The dancing winds arrive upon its cold season,
As they blow in distant memories,
reminding of what once had been…

“It’s time…. ,” the wind whispers….

The heart still knows the season…
The heart still knows the time…
The heart still remembers…

But begs to cross through that veil,
To a world, where distant memories don’t linger…
And hearts, still don’t feel the sting,
From sleepless nights upon its pillow…

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven… (Ecclesiastes 3:1)
